Watch brand Rotary has set a new record, as it sold out of its 1977 Black Edition within two hours.

Limited to only 100 pieces, the 1977 Black Edition followed the resounding success of the Limited Edition P207.

This limited edition watch celebrates the fervour of 70s motorsport while paying homage to Rotary’s rich history in Formula 1 racing.

The exclusive edition is distinguished by several noteworthy features: the unique textured dial, the exclusive Black Edition colour-way, and a unique watch number engraved on the case-back.

Limited to just 100 pieces, the 1977 Chronograph Black Edition is the most limited release in Rotary’s 129-year history.

The pre-order for this special edition received an overwhelming response with over 500 sign-ups, and upon its release on 28 June, the entire collection sold out within 72 hours—a first for Rotarywatches.com.

The brand saw the most interest on the first day of release, with over 60 units sold within three hours.
