The latest addition to the collection is the Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition, introduced in 2023. This limited series, comprising just 1,935 pieces, celebrates the model’s original release year. Crafted from Grade 5 titanium—a material known for its light weight and strength—the new version retains the distinctive character of the original Pilot Majetek, including a fluted bidirectional bezel mounted on a cushion-shaped case.

The 43 mm Grade 5 titanium case features a commemorative “1935” plaque at 9 o’clock and houses an innovative gear mechanism that provides water-resistance up to 10 bar (100 m). The fluted rotating bezel is paired with an internal luminescent mobile triangle marker, or Starting Time Indicator, positioned under a fixed sapphire crystal to enhance water resistance.

Powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L893.6, the Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition boasts a silicon balance-spring and cutting-edge components. This movement exceeds ISO 674 standards for magnetic resistance by more than ten times and offers a power reserve of up to 72 hours. The watch has also been chronometer-certified by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) after rigorous testing over 15 consecutive days.

The watch features a matte black grained dial with Arabic numerals treated with grey Super-LumiNova® for bluish luminescence, complemented by a railway-style minute track. Baton hands, also coated in grey Super-LumiNova®, and an oversized sub-second dial at 6 o’clock emphasize its functional heritage.

The Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition comes with a black technical fabric strap and is presented in a special Heritage box of the same color.

On April 1, 1935, Longines officially registered the Pilot Majetek model with the International Bureau of Industrial Property in Berne, Switzerland. Originally designed for aviators, this timepiece has become popular among a wider audience for its reliability, robustness, and precision. Nearly 90 years later, Longines has revived this classic pilot’s watch with updated technical and ergonomic features.
