After releasing the Japanese-inspired MRGB2100B-1A last month, Casio has returned to uncover its next G-SHOCK timepiece, the limited-edition MT-G Diffuse Nebula. Billed as the MTGB3000DN1A, the double-take-worthy watch takes inspiration from the “vast regions of outer space,” with a kaleidoscopic array of colors, spanning royal purple to deep blue, that references the “interstellar gas and dust of nebulae.”

On theme, the watch’s bezel is finished with gradation ion plating (IP), while the dial and index employ vapor deposition. A similar rose-gold IP glaze decorates the screws and the crown, while a purple version adorns the buckle and the keeper. The urethane band, meanwhile, adopts a mixed color palette, planting an assortment of galaxy-inspired hues in the foreground of black resin.

Like previous models, the Diffuse Nebula is equipped with all of G-SHOCK’s latest technology. The timepiece features Triple G Resist, meaning it is shock resistant, centrifugal force resistant and vibration resistant. Additionally, it operates with the brand’s “Tough Solar Power” and can connect to smartphones via Bluetooth. An LED light illuminates the watch’s intricate face, which also supplies a daily alarm, a countdown timer, a stopwatch and world times. Rounding out the specs, the timepiece boasts a dual-core guard structure for added durability.

The MTGB3000DN1A is now available to shop on G-SHOCK’s webstore and in select retailers for $1,250 USD. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
