Luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot and contemporary artist Daniel Arsham have unveiled their latest collaboration: the Arsham Droplet. This innovative timepiece reimagines the classic pocket watch, blending antique form with futuristic materials and production methods — resulting in a versatile piece of art that can be enjoyed as a pocket watch, pendant or an eye-catching table clock.

Arsham, renowned for his unique style of transforming everyday objects into “future relics,” seamlessly unites his artistic vision with Hublot’s technical mastery in this collaboration. Inspired by organic, fluid forms found in nature, the Arsham Droplet represents a true milestone in horology, reflecting the shared commitment of Hublot and Arsham to creating exceptional and transformative experiences.

“The Arsham Droplet is a true testament to the power of collaboration. By combining Hublot’s technical expertise with my own artistic vision, we have created a timepiece that transcends the traditional pocket watch, blending the past, present and future in a captivating and unexpected way,” shared Daniel Arsham in a statement on the collaboration.

Crafted from a blend of titanium, rubber and sapphire crystal, the Arsham Droplet showcases Hublot’s unparalleled attention to detail and commitment to innovation. Its ergonomic design measures 73.2mm in length, 52.6mm in width and 22.5mm in thickness, fitting perfectly in the hand for an immersive horological experience. At the heart of the watch lies Hublot’s iconic Meca-10 manufacture movement, boasting an impressive 10-day power reserve, allowing the timepiece to be used for extended periods without frequent winding.

Limited to just 99 examples, the Arsham Droplet stands out as a true collector’s item. Its distinctive rounded drop shape and unparalleled complexity challenge conventional notions of what a pocket watch can be. Notably, the titanium case and rubber bumpers mark a bold departure from traditional watchmaking norms.

The watch is presented with two titanium chains, featuring Hublot’s patented double “one-click” system for seamless attachment. It can be worn as a necklace, a pocket watch or displayed as a sculptural centerpiece on its decorative titanium and mineral glass table stand. Priced at $88,000 USD, each limited edition watch comes numbered and packaged in a special collaborative box.

More information on the Arsham Droplet can be found on Hublot’s official website.
